How It Works
We have 3 linked strands of activity:
Strand 1: Self-esteem and Moral development
Levi Alternative Provision will help address the following:
Disaffection, self-esteem/awareness issues, academic low achievement, disruptive and antisocial behaviour in school and the community.
Strand 2: Education and Preparation for work
Provide educational, spiritual, moral, social and cultural support, for young people who are at risk or have been excluded. Levi Alternative Provision will deliver a wide range of confidence building courses to maximise a young person’s potential to become a productive member of society, while promoting a love of life long learning.
Strand 3: Mentoring
As a part of our wholistic approach each student will receive a mentor that will focus on their attitude to education while also examining lifestyle practises that might act as a barrier to their academic success.
Review Process:
Parents/carers and referring agencies are invited to a review with the student and staff.
The process:
1. 4-week review of progress.
2. 12-week final review with an end of placement report. Reintegration process back to mainstream or other agreed educational setting, which may include a further program at Levi Alternative Provision with amended targets.
The staff at Levi Alternative Provision are available to arrange meetings with the referring agency or parent/carer to discuss progress at an agreed time during the student’s placement.
